Why do we travel

Why do we travel

We, human beings, have forever been nomads. Traveling and moving is in our DNA. Our reasons for it have changed of course, we no longer have to flee dinosaurs (joking*) or hunt for food.

Nowadays, we travel for work, to visit family or just to get away from the hustle of our daily lives. Traveling is particularly high on our list because the world is changing, and sometimes not for the better. For example, don’t you want to see Cuba before the MacDonald’s take over? Or Venice before it sinks?

The world is changing, and so are we. At a time when we are all so connected to one another, we have never felt so much of a need to be alone. We are become individualists, searching for self-understanding and peace. That’s why we travel so much, we soul search for humanity in a world that’s being taken over by robots.
