Maybe have you heard about the American car valet start-up “Luxe” that allows you to have personal car service on demand through the mobile application? Already present in San Francisco, New York and Chicago, the start-up also offers parking valet services at “drop-off” points, where the car would be taken for car wash and be refuelled if needed.
While looking for new investors in April 2017, the conciergerie services were suspended until the company found financing.
Volvo confirmed last September the acquisition of “Luxe” that will boost the company’s digital client services by creating new ones on the future Volvo cars. By 2019, these future cars will be 100% electrical. Curtis Lee, “Luxe” co-founder, was recruited as Volvo new digital VP in that purpose. Several members of their staff were hired at Volvo to improve their service technology and implementation. This new team is also working on developing Volvo valet services for car cleaning, technical check-up and garage appointments.
