Unforgettable Alexander McQueen runway shows

Unforgettable Alexander McQueen runway shows

Wind tunnel in Fall 2003

Taking inspiration from the harsh weather of the tundra, McQueen placed the models inside a wind tunnel and equipped them with silk and chiffon fabrics that stretched even 20 metres long in the blowing wind.

Fall/Winter 2009

Following the economic crisis, McQueen set up a show that was made from scrap pieces from past future shows to highlight of processes in the worlds – consuming too much, having too much, wanting too much. The dresses were accompanied by trash bags that the models were wearing on their heads.

Mental asylum in Spring/Summer 2011

For one of the most unusual and stunning runway shows in fashion history McQueen created a feeling of mental asylum with the models being patients for mental illness. They walked inside a mirrored box not seeing the audience.
