Natalie Massenet is a founder of the luxury online retail platform Net-a-Porter. Not many people know but she has achieved much more than just a launch of her most famous firm.
This American business-woman born in 1965 used to be a model and stylist. Then in the early 90s she started the journalist career by working for titles such as Women Wear Daily and Tatler UK. After going freelance in 1998, she launched her most important business venture – Net-a-Porter – in 2000. After over a decade of running the firm, Massenet opened up to another challenge: since 2013 she is a chairman of the British Fashion Council which makes here responsible for the organisation of London Fashion Week.
Thanks to her enormous work, Massenet made it to the Time’s list of 100 most influential people and was chosen the Woman of the Year 2014 by US Glamour magazine.
