The luxury house Chaumet launchs a second collection to pay distribute to Jospéhine de Beauharnais, an emblematic figure.
Who was Joséphine de Beauharnais ?
Nicknamed « the beautiful creole », she was the figure of the french revolution, married to Napoléon. Feminin sand delicat style, she had a very special affection to graceful flows of vegetal motifs, lace’s sensuality.
Furthermore, she was the most famous consumer of Marie-Etienne Nitot, the Chaument creator. He hence becoming the jeweler the most wanted in Europe, with an excellent reputation in the Parisian society thanks to the imperatrice.
