     Patek Philippe is a swiss watch manufacturer founded in 1851. It designs and manufactures timepieces and movements including some of the most complicated mechanical watches.

     The House pioneered the perpetual calendar, split-seconds, chronograph and minute repeater in watches.

The history of the Nautilus is linked with the one of another iconic timepiece: the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak.

      On 1976, the brand decided that it was time to develop an exclusive sport watch with finishes with the highest quality: the Nautilus which was designed by Gérald Genta who designed also the Royal Oak of Audemars Piguet. This timepiece has a very important key role in the brand’s strategy which is to refresh the brand image while perpetuating tradition.


      The name of the watch was taken from the Jules Verne’s novel “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea”, in which Nautilus is the submariner used by Capitain Nemo. About its designed, it is inspired by the shape of ship portholes.

   Since a few years, the Nautilus was declined in different versions: phase of the moon, power-reserve, date then chronograph, annual calendar and double time zone.

   Patek Philippe is considered by many experts to be one of the most presitigious watch brands.
