Palace of Versailles: The Story
The luxurious lifestyle emerged since many years ago, in the beautiful city of Paris and the Château de Versailles is the proof which has been for 30 years listed on UNESCO’s World Heritage.
At first, the Palace was just a humble hunting lodge built by Louis XIII. But after the arrival of Louis XIV everything changed and it became the palace that we know it today, the symbol of royal absolutism and a personification of the classical French art.
In the 1670s Louis XIV built the Grand Apartments of the King and Queen, both maily characterized by the Hall of Mirrors that was designed by Mansart, showing the king’s ostentatious and royal lifestyle.
