Principality of Monaco – one of the smallest states in Europe – a country of dreams, memories of visiting this country will stay with you for all your life. The most famous in the world Casino (Casino du Monte Carlo) was built in 1864 on a plot of rocky wasteland, bought from the former owner for a ridiculous price – 22 centimes for square meter. The original building was a small villa, which was then rebuilt and expanded. Inside the casino among magnificently decorated interiors we can see the tables for roulette and card games, slot machines. The first gambling house in Europe, one of the oldest and most respected casinos in the world has a rich history and cultural traditions. Monaco is a luxury vacation spot. The Principality is located in one of the most picturesque corners of the Mediterranean coast, halfway between Nice and the Italian Riviera. Monaco is a significant cultural center. Built in 1879 by architect Charles Garnier (Paris Opera author) Garnier Hall building is now the home of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Monte-Carlo and the Monte-Carlo Opera. The classical dance academy named after Princess Grace was created in Monte Carlo, led by Marika Bezobrazov. International Circus Festival and the International Television Festival are annually held in Monaco. The famous Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, the director of which was the legendary explorer Jacques-Yves Cousteau is situated in the city.
