LIFE : LVMH new sustainable plan

As a worldwide luxury group leader, focusing on a long-term vision of their activites, LVMH has a duty of examplarity regarding the sustainable development. That’s why LVMH created since 1992 an environment executive committee. The aim was to follow each House and develop a collective engagement with its.


Since 2012, the group reinforced its environmental priority thanks to the program « LIFE » (LVMH Initiatives For the Environment), a complete program including all the 70 compagnies from the group and their production, from supply-chain to sales within conception.

Mandatory in the strategic plan of each House, LIFE was enhanced by new objectives « LIFE 2020 », around 4 main pillars « products-fields-CO2-sites ».

Realistic and elaborate with collaborators stemming from around thirty Houses of the Group, these objectives are brought to be exceeded(overtaken), as demonstrates him(it) the initial course(cape) of 10 % of used renewable energies, already crossed(exceeded) and revalued in 30 % before 2020.

From this perspective, the Group will double next year its fund(collection) internal carbon: the calculation will be made from now on on the base(basis) 30 euros by ton of produced CO2.
