What is luxury? Looking into the dictionary, you can find multiple meanings of this word: 1. External magnificence, splendor anything. 2. Excess in comfort, convenience and pleasure of life associated with the cost exceeding the average standard of living. 3. Abundance, natural wealth. All these definitions are correct in their own way. They all mean the excess of comfort, splendor. But is the topic of luxury is now actual? For many people, luxury – it is something unattainable, something that can only belong to the rich people, to the aristocrats. So simple a person can not afford it? But now everything is possible. It’s all about numbers. Even the most ordinary person can afford luxury experience: spend holidays in an expensive hotel by the sea, to buy an expensive item from a famous designer, to have a dinner at an expensive restaurant, and so on. But his luxury will be limited because of his financial capabilities. Here is a question, why do people who do not even have enough money, still tend to have a luxurious thing, or luxury experience? It’s not just fashion trends, marketing, and advertising. Many things really impose people from different sides. But the people themselves do not mind to add to their life a little bit of luxury. Now people have a lot of work, and so they want to have a very good rest. A simple walk in a favorite place do not satisfy them anymore, they always want something more. Perhaps this is due to self-interest, or rather self-love, and the desire to improve their social status. Nowadays people are always seen by the others, if they use social medias, that is why people need to create a public opinion in a certain status. The higher status they have, the more people respect them and more people listen to their opinion, the easier it is to him to find friends and like-minded people. It turns out that without the luxury of a man can not live, because he moves forward, it works to harden their status through the luxurious experience. But still, for many people a luxury – it does not buy expensive things, not dinner at a posh restaurant, no trip to stay in a five star hotel, for many – is the time spent with loved ones, it is a cup of your favorite coffee in the morning, a walk with his beloved dog on a favorite park and a meeting with friends. The greatest luxury in our life is time. And both, the rich and the poor may have this kind of luxury. It all depends on how we manage this given us unprecise good.
