Food may become a new status symbol in millennials generation. According to reporter forty-four percent of millennials have posted a photo of a pricey lobster or famous drinks in social media and nineteen percent of 21-24 years old have borrowed friend’s food to take a picture of it pretend they eaten it before and then
post it on social media to get more follower and like.
Millennial generation define luxury in a different way, they think “luxury “should be a type of lifestyle, you need to experience and feel during that moment or occasion. It is not only a goods with ostentatious appearance or show off packaging. “Luxury” meaning in not as the same before. Many people used frosted donuts as a main role with famous makeup or dress in obscured behind. In the past, they would never hide the luxury good but nowadays sharing a picture of cronut or exclusive restaurant just like inviting a social envy like have a nice bag or watch 10 years ago.
