Ritz Paris is a five star hotel in the heart of Paris, at 15, Place Vendôme, in the first arrondissement of Paris. It overlooks the octagonal room border. The Ritz Hotel is considered one of the most beautiful, large and luxurious hotels in the world.
The hotel, which now has 159 rooms, was founded by Swiss hotelier César Ritz, in collaboration with the chef Auguste Escoffier in 1898. The new hotel was built behind the Ritz quickly established a luxury reputation.
Many of the suites are named in honor of the distinguished guests of the hotel, such as the fashion designer Coco Chanel, who lived in the hotel until her death, and the writer Ernest Hemingway, who often came to the Ritz. One of the hotel’s bar, the Hemingway bar, is dedicated to the writer who often went to.
The Ritz Paris is currently closed and continues its journey towards the grand reopening. The Ritz, before its closure, was among seven Parisian palaces to unofficial sense, since it does not have the distinction of « Palace ». However, it was listed in the guides as one of the most prestigious hotels in the world. Its reopening is planned for early 2015.
