History of the George V

The architect Joel Hillman built the prestigious hotel George V in 1928. Founded by the owner of the “Tour d’Argent” and the architect of the “Casino de Deauville” and the reconstruction of the “Printemps Haussmann”, this five stars hotel is one of the most luxurious in the capital.

At the opening, the clientele was mostly American, because of the passengers of the boats directly coming from Calais. Few years later, the hotel was bought back by a bank, before being bought by Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. Since September 2011, the George V has become one of the 8th Palaces in France.
