More and more well-known fashion designers are going beyond the Haute Couture world and overrun the interior design field. They design projects for luxury hotels and restaurants, with their own distinctive signature.
For instance, the Hotel Petit Moulin by Christian Lacroix, the Missoni Hotel in Edimburg and Dubai or the Claridge’s Hotel in London by Diane Von Furstenberg.
Some of them also launch their own home collection, such as Armani Casa, Jean Paul Gaultier with Lelievre or Fendi Casa.
This growing trend has started with Pierre Cardin who wanted to not only dress beautifully, but to be a man surrounded by beauty in everything, especially elite furmitures.
