Jean-Paul Gaultier became their creative director for 2012, and the couturier gave Diet Coke a haute makeover, with his three designs:
Night (like a rock chick after dark), Day (Breton stripes) and Tattoo (a celebration of body art).
For 2013, Marc Jacobs stepped up as creative director. To celebrate Diet Coke’s 30th birthday, he designed a trio which celebrated the fashion of the eighties (bowties and Broadway), nineties (bright colours, trilbies, spiky stilettos) and noughties (geometric patterns and red polka dots).
Karl Lagerfeld also designes some limited editions bottle for Coca Cola. Their were three designs: the pink and white bottles with stars, stripes and spots. He was inspired by Diet Coke superwomen: Bernadette, Eleanor and Irene.
Bernadette’s passionate style can be seen through the lovely Polka dots, while Eleanor’s stylish fashionable ways have been recreated with swishy swirls. Irene’s personality has inspired the third bottle to mark the queen of drama.
