“A Unique bicycle,a unique collaboration born of passion for innovation and expression through hardwood”
Renovo Hardwood Bicycles has collaborated with the whiskey brand Glenmorangie to make the first bike made with barrel wood.
Renovo is a company, based in Portland, and specialized in the design and development of wooden bicycles. For its part, Glenmorangie is a Scottish company dedicated to the production of malt whiskey.
Design, originality and functionality are the three main characteristics of this cool bike.
For the Glenmorangie Original bicycle, Renovo designers took inspiration from the shape of Glenmorangie whisky cask staves. All of the wood was shipped from Glenmorangie’s distillery in Scotland to Portland where it was re-purposed.Each bike frame is handcrafted from around 15 wooden staves taken from the casks in which Glenmorangie ‘original’ blend was matured.
It is available in two different formats, standard and luxury. The price is 5,800 euros for the standard version and 9.600 for the luxury version
