Collaboration: Jeff Koons X Dom Perignon

Collaboration: Jeff Koons X Dom Perignon

In 2004, the French champagne brand Dom Perignon asked the well-known American artist to create a limited collection of designed bottles. This collaboration allowed the champagne brand to give a new lease to its perceived old image. The bottles were turned into piece of art, and easily recognizable by the people how know Jeff Koons and its work.

The “Venus Balloon” was created by Jeff Koons for Dom Perignon, and this sculpture has been transposed into the packaging of two specifics bottles: the Intense & generous Millésime 2004, and the Rosé Millésime 2003. A gold balloon for the gold champagne, and a metallic pink one for the rosé bottle. The whole packing has been studied by the artist, so that the consumer can see the original sculpture by every angle of the box. The color codes of the label had been redesigned as well, according to the codes of the original sculpture.

This great piece of art, is still viewable on Dom Perignon’s website, eleven years later.
